gum bands : rubber bands

jager bush : thorn bush; also an awesome bar on South Side
"I shouldn't have worn shorts. I keep gettin' jaggers in my legs from all these jagger bushes"
jag off : jerk
"That friggin' jag off drank my last beer"
crick : creek
"I like this house. There's a crick in the back I can throw rocks in."
pop : soda
"What kinda pop yinz want?"
red up : to pick up or tidy
"Let me get this house all red up before the in-laws get here"
sweeper (noun) : a vacuum
"Did yinz run the sweeper today?"
nebby : how you describe someone who's a little nosey
"The nebby lady kept askin' me too many questions"
